Cold Atmospheric Plasma Cancer Treatment, a Critical Review

Cold atmospheric plasma (CAP) is an ionized gas, the product of a non-equilibrium discharge at conditions. Both chemical and physical factors in CAP have been demonstrated to unique biological impacts cancer treatment. From chemical-based perspective, anti-cancer efficacy determined by cellular sensitivity reactive species. may also be used as powerful modality based on its factors, mainly EM emission. Here, we delve into three treatment approaches, chemically direct/indirect physical-based discussing their basic principles, features, advantages, drawbacks. This review does not focus molecular mechanisms, which widely introduced previous reviews. Based these approaches novel adaptive concepts, discuss potential clinical application using critical evaluation forward-looking perspectives.
