چکیده

This paper presents a two-dimensional interface model for timber-concrete contacts, that has been developed based on the empirical observations from set of friction tests and additional micromechanical assumptions. In tangential direction, accounts initial bonding debonding between surfaces, different static kinetic as well smooth transition them, effects load reversal, pressure-dependence in sticking stiffness slip softening over increasing cumulative slip. normal simple linear cohesive pressure-overclosure behaviour is assumed. The formulated cohesive-frictional framework, coupling damage-based with elastoplasticity-based frictional behaviour. tested various cases verified by comparison 27 contact pairs under cyclic loading varying pressure multiple material pairs. able to capture relevant parts experimentally observed behaviour, indicating suitability present loading.

Approximate model for blunt objects indenting cohesive-frictional materials

An approximate two-dimensional model for indentation of blunt objects into various types of rigid-perfectly plastic cohesive-frictional material is derived. Particular emphasis is placed on considering indentation as a process involving evolution of the boundary of material displaced by the indenter. Force-penetration relationships are obtained by an incremental approach utilizing key kinematic...

Cohesive, frictional powders: contact models for tension

The contacts between cohesive, frictional particles with sizes in the range 0.1–10μm are the subject of this study. Discrete element model (DEM) simulations rely on realistic contact force models—however, too much details make both implementation and interpretation prohibitively difficult. A rather simple, objective contact model is presented, involving the physical properties of elastic–plasti...

Modeling of Frictional Contacts for Dynamic Simulation

The paper addresses rigid body dynamic simulation of mechanical systems with frictional contacts. It is well known that the use of Coulomb's law of friction with the principles of classical rigid body dynamics introduces mathematical inconsistencies. Speciically, the initial value problem may have no solutions or more than one solution. We show that a suitable lumped model of compliance in the ...

Isotropic compression of cohesive-frictional particles with rolling resistance

Cohesive-frictional and rough powders are the subject of this study. The behavior under isotropic compression is examined for different material properties involving Coulomb friction, rolling-resistance and contact-adhesion. Under isotropic compression, the density continuously increases according to Bauers exponential law, see Ref. (Bauer 1999). However, at a certain pressure/density, the beha...
