چکیده

ABSTRACT: Gain from selection is an important criterion in quantifying the efficiency of breeding programs. This study quantified gain estimated under experimental conditions and realized achieved field, seeking to interpret Coffea canephora selection. For that purpose, we considered experiments began 2004 with directed hybridizations obtain new hybrid progenies. From a population composed 288 individuals, 12 genotypes were selected 2005 2012, amplitude gains 127.70 to−19.19%. Those evaluated 2012 2018 clonal tests four environments Western Amazon. The environment exhibited greatest correlation between predicted genetic values observed field was Ouro Preto do Oeste, RO (0.67), location which plants selected, followed by Alta FlorestaD´Oeste, (0.44), Rio Branco, AC (0.43), Porto Velho, (0.37).Experimental showed effect due dominance deviations approximately three times greater than additive effect. Nine clones higher at two lower performance. The clone G17-P7 high low performance. positively correlated plant performance (r=0.55), allows reduction original set more promising be grown multiple environments, optimizing time resources.

SNPs Based Molecular Diversity of Coffea canephora

Coffee offers one of the most widely drunk beverages in the world, and is a very important source of foreign currency income for many countries. Coffea canephora Pierre presents a great genetic variability, with one of the widest natural geographical distribution within the subgenus. Newly developed single nucleotide Polymorphism (SNP) markers are effective in genetic diversity detection. The o...

Biosynthesis of chlorogenic acids in growing and ripening fruits of Coffea arabica and Coffea canephora plants.

Chlorogenic acids are major secondary metabolites found in coffee seeds. The accumulation of chlorogenic acids and free quinic acids was studied in Coffea arabica cv. Tall Mokka and Coffea canephora seeds. Growth stages are specified from I to V, corresponding to rapid expansion and pericarp growth (I), endosperm formation (II), mature (green) (III), ripening (pink) (IV), and fully ripened (red...

Thidiazuron induced somatic embryogenesis in Coffea arabica L. and Coffea canephora P ex Fr

The rapid direct and repetitive somatic embryogenesis in Coffea arabica and C. canephora genotypes was tested on Murashige and Skoog medium (MS) containing thidiazuron (TDZ) (1-phenyl-3-(1,2,3,-thiadiazol-5-yl)urea) in concentrations of 2.27–11.35s M. Segments taken from cotyledon leaf, first leaf and stalk of regenerated plantlets produced clusters of somatic embryos directly from cut portions...

Identification of novel and conserved microRNAs in Coffea canephora and Coffea arabica

As microRNAs (miRNAs) are important regulators of many biological processes, a series of small RNAomes from plants have been produced in the last decade. However, miRNA data from several groups of plants are still lacking, including some economically important crops. Here microRNAs from Coffea canephora leaves were profiled and 58 unique sequences belonging to 33 families were found, including ...

Risk factors and seroprevalence of Brucella spp. in cattle from Western Amazon, Brazil. RISK FACTORS AND SEROPREVALENCE OF BRUCELLA SPP. IN CATTLE FROM WESTERN AMAZON, BRAZIL

The seroprevalence of Brucella spp. and the possible associated risk factors were estimated for 2,109 adult cows in Monte Negro county, State of Rondônia, Brazil. A questionnaire was completed for each farm where cattle were sampled. Laboratory tests were Rose-Bengal Agglutination, Standard Tube agglutination, and Mercaptoethanol. The adjusted overall prevalence of Brucella spp. seropositive co...
