چکیده
Design and operation of nuclear power stations (NPS) are followed by simulation neutron propagation in these stations. It is necessary to consider borders multi-scale structural elements consisting different materials. desirable use parallel computer because big size NPSs. To keep such conditions, algorithms codes for solving the integro-differential transport equation on unstructured grids being developed. In paper included into code RADUGA T outlined. Grids, grid schemes, iterative methods solve equations presented. Calculation parallelization hybrid computers considered, MPI OpenMP techniques used. Methods building, improvement, decomposition visuzlisation spatial considered. Software implementation described. The compared with other codes. Computation efficiency study results problem multiplication factor calculation a light-water reactor model solved. multi-processor MVS-10P Joint SuperComputernal Center Acceleration each algorithm used summary acceleration given.

Commentary: childhood cancer near nuclear power stations
In 2008, the KiKK study in Germany reported a 1.6-fold increase in solid cancers and a 2.2-fold increase in leukemias among children living within 5 km of all German nuclear power stations. The study has triggered debates as to the cause(s) of these increased cancers. This article reports on the findings of the KiKK study; discusses past and more recent epidemiological studies of leukemias near...
متن کاملRadioactive Graphite Management at Uk Magnox Nuclear Power Stations
The UK nuclear power industry is predominantly based on gas-cooled, graphite moderated reactors with their being 20 operating and 6 shutdown Magnox reactors. The radioactive graphite issues associated with the Magnox reactors relate mainly to the reactor core graphite but, at two of the stations, there is also another graphite waste stream which results from the handling of their particular des...
متن کاملVariable Load on Power Stations
The function of a power station is to deliver power to a large number of consum ers. However, the power demands of different consumers vary in accordance with their activities. The result of this variation in demand is that load on a power station is never constant, rather it varies from time to time. Most of the complexities of modern power plant operation arise from the inherent variability o...
متن کاملLaser-heating and Radiance Spectrometry for the Study of Nuclear Materials in Conditions Simulating a Nuclear Power Plant Accident
Major and severe accidents have occurred three times in nuclear power plants (NPPs), at Three Mile Island (USA, 1979), Chernobyl (former USSR, 1986) and Fukushima (Japan, 2011). Research on the causes, dynamics, and consequences of these mishaps has been performed in a few laboratories worldwide in the last three decades. Common goals of such research activities are: the prevention of these kin...
