Co3O4-Bi2O3 heterojunction: An effective photocatalyst for photodegradation of rhodamine B dye

Recently, the research on remediation of aqueous organic pollutants over visible-light-active photocatalysts has got much attention. Therefore, this study reports fabrication Co3O4-Bi2O3 heterojunction photocatalyst for photodegradation rhodamine B dye. The was synthesized by coprecipitation method and characterized XRD, EDS, SEM, TEM, TGA, FTIR. as-prepared utilized as a abatement It observed that showed best catalytic performance with ∼92% degradation dye than Co3O4 Bi2O3 14 34% removal dye, respectively. rate constant catalyzed 6 times 3 higher B, exhibited highest at pH 8.
