چکیده
Incorporating waste stone powders into the production of reactive powder concretes (RPCs) can be eco-friendly. Since high cementitious material content is used in producing RPCs, CO2, as a harmful greenhouse gas, was for carbonation curing this study. For purpose, limestone substituted by 0%, 18%, 36% and 54% silica sand specimens were cured water up to 90 days CO2 chamber 48 hours. The physical mechanical properties concrete specimens' uptake measured at different ages. Results showed that 28-day compressive strength moist RPCs higher than 100 MPa improved increasing substitution. significantly increased samples' limestone-powder substitution decreased autogenous shrinkages RPCs. Moreover, make eco-friendly limestone-modified where their are improved. KEYWORDS: curing, Reactive concrete, Waste powder, Shrinkage.

With the ongoing sustainability movement, the incorporation of limestone powder in cementitious binders for concrete in the U.S. has become a subject of renewed interest. In addition to accelerating the early age hydration reactions of cementitious systems by providing additional surfaces for nucleation and growth of products, limestone powder is also intriguing based on its influence on low-te...
متن کاملEffect of Limestone Powder on Microstructure of Ternary Cementitious System
The pressure to reach sustainability favours the development of ternary composite cement. The synergistic effect on mechanical behaviour at 28 days between limestone powder (LP) and pozzolanic additives, i.e. fly ash (FA) and blast furnace slag (BFS), has been documented. In order to better understand the synergistic effect, this article investigated the effect of LP on the microstructure of PC...

Developing functional concrete mixtures with less ordinary portland cement (OPC) has been one of the key objectives of the 21st century sustainability movement. While the supplies of many alternatives to OPC (such as fly ash or slag) may be limited, those of limestone and silica powders produced by crushing rocks seem virtually endless. The present study examines the chemical and physical influ...

In the present work, a method for extracting cellulose from olive industry solid waste has been developed. The method involves subjecting solid olive waste to kraft pulping, followed by multistep bleaching processes. The totally free chlorine chemical bleaching sequence APEP was the most effective and gave an average cellulose yield of about 35%. The extracted cellulose was extensively characte...

Polymer-cement composites (PCCs) are materials in which the polymer and mineral binder create an interpenetrating network and co-operate, significantly improving the performance of the material. On the other hand, the need for the utilization of waste materials is a demand of sustainable construction. Various mineral powders, such as fly ash or blast-furnace slag, are successfully used for the ...
