Asymmetric transfer hydrogenation over Ru-TsDPEN catalysts supported on siliceous mesocellular foam.
A siliceous mesocellular foam-immobilized Ru-TsDPEN complex exhibited excellent catalytic reactivity, enantioselectivity and reusability in the asymmetric transfer hydrogenation of an imine and ketones.
متن کاملWell-Defined Palladium Nanoparticles Supported on Siliceous Mesocellular Foam as Heterogeneous Catalysts for the Oxidation of Water
Herein, we describe the use of Pd nanoparticles immobilized on an amino-functionalized siliceous mesocellular foam for the catalytic oxidation of H2O. The Pd nanocatalyst proved to be capable of mediating the four-electron oxidation of H2O to O2, both chemically and photochemically. The Pd nanocatalyst is easy to prepare and shows high chemical stability, low leaching, and recyclability. Togeth...
متن کاملCO2 Capture Performance Using Biomass-templated Cement-supported Limestone Pellets
Synthetic biomass-templated cement-supported CaO-based sorbents were produced by granulation process for high-temperature post-combustion CO2 capture. Commercial flour was used as the biomass and served as a templating agent. The investigation of porosity showed that the pellets with biomass or cement resulted in enhancement of porosity. Four types of sorbents containing varying proportions of ...
متن کاملCO2 multicyclic capture of pretreated/doped CaO in the Ca-looping process. Theory and experiments.
We study in this paper the conversion of CaO-based CO2 sorbents when subjected to repeated carbonation-calcination cycles with a focus on thermally pretreated/doped sorbents. Analytical equations are derived to describe the evolution of conversion with the cycle number from a unifying model based on the balance between surface area loss due to sintering in the looping-calcination stage and surf...
متن کاملCaO nanocrystals grown over SiO2 microtubes for efficient CO2 capture: organogel sets the platform.
Materials that can capture and store CO2 are important. Though CaO is a cheap sorbent, it is inefficient for practical purposes due to sintering and poor diffusion of CO2 through the surface-CaCO3 layer. We have developed a high performance, sintering-resistant CaO-based sorbent by uniformly nanofabricating the CaO nanocrystals on SiO2 microtubes made by organogel templated polymerization.
