Co on Titan: More Evidence for a Well-mixed Vertical Profile
We report new interferometric observations of the CO (2 − 1) rotational transition on Titan. We find that the spectrum is best fit by a uniform profile of 52 ppm, with estimated errors of 6 ppm (40 to 200 km) and 12 ppm (200 to 300 km).
متن کاملEvolution of CO on Titan
The early evolution of Titan’s atmosphere is expected to produce enrichment in the heavy isotopomers of CO, 13CO and C18O, relative to 12C16O. However, the original isotopic signatures may be altered by photochemical reactions. This paper explains why there is no isotopic enrichment in C in Titan’s atmosphere, despite significant enrichment of heavy H, N, and O isotopes. We show that there is a...
متن کاملMorphology of fluvial networks on Titan: Evidence for structural control
Although Titan’s surface shows clear evidence of erosional modification, such as fluvial incision, evidence for tectonism has been less apparent. On Earth, fluvial networks with strongly preferred orientations are often associated with structural features, such as faults or joints, that influence flow or erodibility. We delineated and classified the morphologies of fluvial drainages on Titan an...
متن کاملPriority Setting for Universal Health Coverage: We Need Evidence-Informed Deliberative Processes, Not Just More Evidence on Cost-Effectiveness
Priority setting of health interventions is generally considered as a valuable approach to support low- and middle-income countries (LMICs) in their strive for universal health coverage (UHC). However, present initiatives on priority setting are mainly geared towards the development of more cost-effectiveness information, and this evidence does not sufficiently support countries to make optimal...
متن کاملRamadan fasting: Do we need more evidence?
Over a billion of Muslims fast worldwide during Ramadan each year. Through this religious custom, fasting contributes to their health as well as their spiritual growth. However, available evidence regarding the health-benefits of Ramadan fasting is scarce and highly contentious. Although Islam exempts patients from fasting, many fast conceivably, and their clinical condition is prone to deterio...
