چکیده
This study investigated the potential benefit of co-digesting sewage sludge (SS) and settled/mixed fat, oil, grease (FOG) with BioAmp pretreatment, a bio-additive product, for utility. was found to increase soluble chemical oxygen demand (SCOD)/COD ratio FOG (from 4.19 4.49), consequently enhancing volatile solid (VS) reduction 75.9 84.8%). The SS co-digestion based on their actual daily production volume, resulting in content ranging between 15 20% VS assays. Co-digestion mixed waste after pretreatment produced highest cumulative methane yield (CMY) 400 mL/g VSadded, which is 98% higher than that mono-digestion (202 VSadded). Kinetic analysis demonstrated synergistic effect both increased CMY degradation rate constant. For utility, can by 141%; however, 7.77% more biosolids are 6% total nitrogen will return mainstream, burden nutrient management. Overall, results batch test benefits terms CMY, constant, reduction. utility showed produce biogas but also return.

Anaerobic Co-digestion of Sewage Sludge with Cheese Whey under Thermophilic and Mesophilic Conditions
Anaerobic digestion of sewage sludge (SS) and co-digestion with cheese whey (CW) was evaluated in batch conditions under mesophilic and thermophilic regimens. Results indicated that the co-digestion can be successfully attained despite some inhibitory stages that may be initially present due to the accumulation of volatile fatty acids. Degradation of the mixture SS-CW followed a similar pattern...
متن کاملMethane Production By Anaerobic Co-Digestion Of Sewage Sludge And Wheat Straw Under Mesophilic Conditions
This study investigated the possibilities of improving methane yield production from, the anaerobic co-digestion of wheat straw (WS) and primary sludge (PS). The batch experiment was conducted under mesophilic conditions. Different mixtures of WS and PS depending on its C/N ratio were carried out to investigate the optimum C/N ratio for effective methane production. The cumulative methane yield...
متن کاملAnaerobic Treatment of Sewage Sludge and Grease Trap Sludge in Continuous Co-digestion
In recent years many researchers show a high interest in co-digestion, simultaneous anaerobic decomposition of a homogenous mixture of at least two biodegradable waste. Anaerobic codigestion is reported to offer several benefits over digestion of separate materials, such as increased cost-efficiency, increased biodegradation of the treated materials, as well as increased biogas production. Most...
متن کاملAnaerobic co-digestion of municipal wastewater sludge and restaurant grease
Co-digestion has drawn much attention because of its potential to increase biogas production among other benefits. Restaurant grease has high energy content and methane production potential and so is a promising substrate for co-digestion with municipal wastewater sludge. Anaerobic co-digestion of municipal wastewater sludge and restaurant grease was investigated at laboratory-scale under mesop...
