Cluster Based Energy Efficient Routing Protocol using SA-LEACH to Wireless Sensor Networks

Objectives: To develop an energy efficient routing protocol using SA-LEACH to Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN). Methods: The Simulated Annealing (SA) and LEACH algorithms are used optimize the maximize active period of network nodes. Here, initially selection cluster head will be chosen by protocol; however, it is further investigated SA algorithm get better neighboring node (if exist) when compared with selected one head. Findings: There improvement in throughput 5.25%, 30% EE-LEACH respectively. Also, improved 11.11% 23.07% performance designed has well suited for Coal mine industry, which large number sensor nodes deployed monitor situation coal mine, continuously. Novelty: simple effective. Furthermore, proposed approach can enhance rural healthcare monitoring system. Keywords: WSNs; Energy Optimization; Protocol; SA; Routing; MATLAB
