Closed-loop recycling of colored regenerated cellulose fibers from the dyed cotton textile waste

چکیده
Worldwide, 45 million tons of waste cotton textiles are produced annually, which 75% is burned and buried, leading to serious environmental pollution. In this study, a method for directly preparing colored regenerated cellulose fibers (CRCFs) from dyed textile (DCTW) was demonstrated. The tensile strength CRCFs reached 226 MPa, equivalent that commercial viscose fibers. exhibited excellent color fastness hydrophilicity. addition, can be reprocessed into secondary CRCFs. 14.64% less than the primary due reduction in polymerization degree CRCFs; however, it also woven fabrics. exploration utilization provides an experimental basis prolonging service life DCTW. This approach achieves closed-loop recycling prevents pollution caused by decoloring dyeing.

Wash Fastness of Textile Fibers Dyed with Natural Dye from Eucalyptus Wood Steaming Waste
Natural dyes are gaining interest due their expected low risk to human health and to the environment. In this study, the wash fastness of a natural coloring matter from the liquid waste produced in the steam treatment of eucalyptus wood in textile fabrics was investigated. Specifically, eucalyptus wood extract was used to dye cotton, nylon and wool in an exhaust dyeing process without the addit...

1 By Keith Dunne and John F. Russo C losed-loop water recycling is only one of several alternatives available when converting. to aaueous or semiaqueous cleaning. Most CFC users have been accustomed to operating a mature and well-defined process. Conversion to other cleaning technologies has forced users to develop entirely new skills and to develop a good working knowledge of the chemistry of ...
متن کاملProperties of Lignocellulosic Composites Containing Regenerated Cellulose Fibers
The aim of the paper was to examine the application of regenerated cellulose fibers as a reinforcement material in particleboard production. Single-layer, 10 mm thick panels, with the density of 800 kg/m3 were produced with addition of regenerated cellulose fibers in the range of 0 do 15% by mass during panels’ production. The mechanical and physical parameters of the produced panels were teste...
متن کاملInvestigation into the supramolecular properties of fibres regenerated from cotton based waste garments.
This paper investigated the supramolecular properties and accessibility of fibres regenerated from cotton-based waste garments and compared to typical lyocell fibres. The supramolecular and accessibility properties of the cotton-based waste garments fibres regenerated from three sources (waste denim garments, easy care finished cotton fabrics and a blend of cotton-based waste garment with wood ...
متن کاملTransitional Properties of Cotton Fibers from Cellulose I to Cellulose II Structure
Mercerized fibers were prepared from native cotton fabrics via NaOH solution treatment at different concentrations. Mercerization led to transformation of the crystal structure of cotton fibers from cellulose I to II when the NaOH concentration was greater than 10 wt%. In addition, the cotton fibers were converted into a swollen and rough state after mercerization treatment. The results of Four...
