Clinicopathological features of trichoblastomas and malignant variant: trichoblastic carcinoma

Objective: Trichoblastomas are rare benign tumors of the skin appendages with epithelial and mesenchymal components that exhibit differentiation to follicular germinative epithelium particularly stroma skin. Our aim was contribute already limited literature data in order gain more insights into treatment follow-up patients this condition. Methods Materials: A total 9 trichoblastoma 1 patient malignant were surgically treated between 2016 2020 at Department Plastic, Reconstructive Aesthetic Surgery, School Medicine, Marmara University. Results: Of 10 trichoblastoma, 5 female male, a median age 49 years. The smallest largest lesion lenghts 0.4 2 cm, respectively. Seven lesions had developed head neck region, while trunk. One our cases 45-year old presented right side lower lip. Conclusion: affect both sexes equally seen most commonly region. Recurrence rates found be low when they negative surgical margins.
