چکیده
The present study aimed to investigate the prevalence of Campylobacter (C) and its clinicopathological changes in broilers Sharkia province, About 50 diarrheic cloacal swabs were collected for bacteriological examination. Out exami-ned 12 (24%) positive [C. coli 4 C. jejuni 8]. Isolated was sensitive neomycin genta-ycin. 45 healthy one day-old received 5 mg pefloxacin/kg bwt days proved that free from bacterial infections. At 14th day age divided into 3 groups (15/ each). 1st group non treated (control), 2nd 3rd infected with jejuni. infected, 15 neomycin/kg B.wt. drinking water days. 1st, 7th and14th post treatment re-isolation beside blood samples hematochemical study. Infected showed food, depression, ruffled feather, diarrhea mortality rate 40% significant decrease body performance, total protein albumin, globulin coupled insignificant elevation RBCs, HB, PCV%, WBCs, AST, ALT, ALP, urea creatinine. Treatment broi-lers by lead disappear clinical sing, reduced improved hematobiochemical parameters. It could be concluded Campylobact-er infection induces reversible adverse effect on performance hematobioc- al Neomycin is highly curative against campylobacters

Salmonella species and Campylobacter jejuni cecal colonization model in broilers.
Salmonella and Campylobacter are of concern to the poultry industry because of the continuing association of poultry-borne transmission of these diseases to humans. Live, mature bird interventions can be demonstrated only by comparing colonization in nontreated groups of control birds with treated bird groups. This study attempted to create a reproducible broiler chicken colonization model. Whe...
متن کاملCampylobacter jejuni seasonal recovery observations of retail market broilers.
This study investigated possible seasonal trends in the Campylobacter jejuni carrier state of market broilers. In this study, broiler carcasses, 15 each of two major companies, were obtained from a local supermarket each month for an entire year to evaluate the presence of C. jejuni on the carcasses. Direct plating and the whole carcass rinse procedure were used for C. jejuni detection. Resusci...

Aim: To determine the prevalence of Campylobacter jejuni and Campylobacter coli among broilers at the time of slaughter in and around Bareilly, India. Materials and Methods: A total of 100 chicken caecal samples were screened by conventional plating in modified charcoal cefoperazone deoxycholate agar with incubation at 42°C for 48 h under microaerophilic conditions. The characteristic colonies ...
متن کاملHost-associated Genetic Import in Campylobacter jejuni
Host association of Campylobacter jejuni was analyzed by using multilocus sequence typing data for 713 isolates from chickens and bovids (cattle and sheep). Commonly used summary measures of genotypes (sequence type and clonal complex) showed poor accuracy, but a method using the full allelic profile showed 80% accuracy in distinguishing isolates from these 2 host groups. We explored the biolog...
متن کاملThe Role of Campylobacter Jejuni in Campylobacteriosis
Campylobacter jejuni is a Gram negative, curved, motile, thermophilic and microaerophilic bacillus in Campylobacteriaceae family, which is one of the main causes of enteritis in human named campylobacteriosis. The main reservoir of Campylobacter jejuni is the alimentary tract of animals, especially chicken and turkey. Consumption of semi-cooked chicken meat, raw milk and unchlorinated water are...
