Clinical Applications of Nano-Hydroxyapatite in Dentistry

Nano-hydroxyapatite (nano-HAp) is a biomaterial which finding increasing application in dentistry due to its osteogenic properties and biocompatibility. The aim of the present study review clinical applications nano-HAp dentistry. A literature search was performed PubMeD Scopus. In total, 154 articles were retrieved. Following title abstract analysis, 122 excluded. Further 6 excluded through full-text analysis. systematic conducted on 26 articles. 3 studies, employed for tissue remineralization, 8 studies applied treatment dentin hypersensitivity, 2 evaluated role orthodontics, 9 as graft material, 4 periodontology implantology. available evidence supports use prevention caries, desensitizing agent hypersensitivity material. It should be, however, highlighted that further research appears mandatory assessing validating full potential
