Oral lichen planus is a chronic, mucocutaneous condition with an unidentified etiology. Women between the ages of 30 and 60 are most affected. The incidence rate for entire population 1-2%. Bilateral lesions typically whitish, sometimes ulcerated. importance this related to frequency occurrence, clinical resemblance other diseases mucosa, persistent pain possible relationship squamous cell carcinoma. There several hypotheses regarding etiology these diseases, they include: genetic factor, infectious, psychogenic autoimmune. diagnosis oral plan made on basis morphopathological examination where information changes in tissue cells obtained.
