چکیده
Abstract. In this study, we analyse the climatology of ionosphere over Nepal based on GPS-derived vertical total electron content (VTEC) observed from four stations as defined in Table 1: KKN4 (27.80? N, 85.27? E), GRHI (27.95? 82.49? JMSM (28.80? 83.74? E) and DLPA (28.98? 82.81? during years 2008 to 2018. The study illustrates diurnal, monthly, annual, seasonal solar cycle variations VTEC all times 24. results clearly reveal presence equinoctial asymmetry TEC, which is more pronounced maximum phases year 2014 at station, followed by descending, ascending minimum phases. Diurnal showed short-lived day occurs between 05:00 06:00 LT (local time) considered, with diurnal peaks 12:00 15:00 LT. value TEC often spring equinox than autumn equinox, a few asymmetries. Seasonal variation be manifestation flux, particularly regarding level flux consecutive solstices.

global positioning system (gps) signals provide valuable information about ionosphere physical structure. using these signals, can be derived total electron content (tec) for each line of sight between the receiver and the satellite. for historic and other sparse data sets, the reconstruction of tec images is often performed using multivariate interpolation techniques. recently it has become cl...

This article describes the current status of the Deep Space Network advanced systems research into ionospheric calibration techniques, based on Global Positioning System (GPS) data. A GPS-based calibration system is planned to replace the currently used Faraday rotation method by 1989. The SERIES receiver system used in this research determines the differential group delay of signals transmitte...

With the appearance of such satellite systems as GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, and others, the total electron content TEC measured by means of navigational satellites became a key parameter characterizing a state of the ionized space. In turn, functioning of navigational and telecommunication systems needs models of TEC for an estimation of accuracy of positioning, for the short-term and long-term pre...
متن کاملSeismoionospheric GPS total electron content anomalies observed before the 12 May 2008 Mw7.9 Wenchuan earthquake
[1] The global ionospheric map (GIM) is used to observe variations in the total electron content (TEC) of the global positioning system (GPS) associated with 35 M 6.0 earthquakes that occurred in China during the 10-year period of 1 May 1998 to 30 April 2008. The statistical result indicates that the GPS TEC above the epicenter often pronouncedly decreases on day 3–5 before 17 M 6.3 earthquakes...
