Climate change and the dynamics of age-related malaria incidence in Southern Africa

چکیده
In the last decade, many malaria-endemic countries, like Zambia, have achieved significant reductions in malaria incidence among children <5 years old but face ongoing challenges achieving similar progress against older age groups. parts of changing climatic and environmental factors are those suspectedly behind high incidence. Changes variations these potentially interfere with intervention program effectiveness alter distribution patterns differentially between young rest population. We used parametric non-parametric statistics to model effects socio-demographic variables on age-specific vis-à-vis control interventions. Linear regressions, mixed models, Mann-Kendall tests were implemented explore trends, changes regress variables. Our study shows that while climate parameters affect whole population, their impacts felt most by people aged ≥5 years. Climate influenced substantially more than mosquito nets indoor residual spraying establish negatively impact efforts exacerbating transmission conditions via conducive temperature rainfall environments, which augmented cultural socioeconomic exposure mechanisms. argue an intensified communications education strategy for behavioural change specifically targeted at population where rates increasing, is urgently required call further stratification groups routine collection, analysis reporting mortality data.

Climate change and malaria incidence in South Africa
Goal To understand the impact of temperature and precipitation changes on the distribution of three Anopheles species mainly responsible for the transmission of malaria in Africa, and so prepare a prediction of malaria incidence over the next decades. Every year, malaria infects around 200 million and kills over one million people, most of whom are children and almost 90% of whom live in sub-Sa...

abstract while task-based instruction is considered as the most effective way to learn a language in the related literature, it is oversimplified on various grounds. different variables may affect how students are engaged with not only the language but also with the task itself. the present study was conducted to investigate language and task related engagement on the basis of the task typolog...
15 صفحه اولPotential effect of climate change on malaria transmission in Africa.
BACKGROUND Climate change is likely to affect transmission of vector-borne diseases such as malaria. We quantitatively estimated current malaria exposure and assessed the potential effect of projected climate scenarios on malaria transmission. METHODS We produced a spatiotemporally validated (against 3791 parasite surveys) model of Plasmodium falciparum malaria transmission in Africa. Using d...
