Classification of 3 accreting binaries with VLT/X-Shooter spectra

ABSTRACT Since its launch, the INTErnational Gamma-Ray Astrophysics Laboratory (INTEGRAL) satellite has discovered hundreds of X-ray sources, many which lack proper classification. This mission also led to discovery new categories high mass binaries (HMXB). We use spectra X-Shooter instrument at Very Large Telescope (VLT) European Southern Observatory (ESO) better understand nature 3 accreting (IGR J10101−5654, IGR J11435−6109, and J12489−6243) by INTEGRAL. mainly focused on lines continuum from spectra. used atlases constrain sources complemented with measurements taken Spitzer Wide-field Infrared Survey Explorer (WISE) in infrared, parallaxes Gaia for distances. determined each binary system: a BeHMXB system companion star spectral type B0.5 Ve peculiar carbon emission J10101−5654 CV an evolved K (K0IV–K2IV) J12489−6243. estimated some geometrical parameters decretion disc neutron star’s orbit case J11435−6109.
