Class III malocclusion with traumatic unilateral maxillary central incisor loss treated using orthodontic miniscrews: a case report

Abstract The present article reports the successful non-extraction orthodontic treatment using miniscrew anchorage in a patient who presented with maxillary left central incisor loss and unstable jaw movements. chief complaints of 23-year-old female were her protruding teeth crowding mandibular anterior segment. lost as result traumatic injury during childhood. However, crown was saved attached to adjacent teeth. diagnosed skeletal Class III Angle dental malocclusion. movements determined by 6 degrees freedom movement recording system irregular. Miniscrew applied for distalisation right dentition treatment. mesialised close space incisor. After an active duration 36 months, achieved II molar relationship on side, I optimal overjet overbite, pleasing facial profile. Despite asymmetric relationships, functionally stable smooth established. skeletal, occlusal functional stability remained satisfactory after 2-year retention period. In conclusion, valuable supporting tooth appliance unilateral loss.
