City infrastructure ontologies

چکیده
Sustainable urban infrastructure planning and maintenance require an integrated approach that considers various assets (e.g., the ground, roads, buried pipes) their inter-linkages as a holistic system. To facilitate usage of this approach, we propose model city interdependencies, providing details on how asset properties processes affect each other. This is represented ontologies in OWL 2 Web Ontology Language Manchester Syntax, which can be read interpreted by machines automatically. These cover classifications, roads water pipes, well some related human activities natural phenomena precipitation). The not only provide foundation for integrating types environmental data, but also understanding potential knock-on effects failures. have been utilised decision support system inter-asset management.

Smart city ontologies: Improving the effectiveness of smart city applications
This paper addresses the problem of low impact of smart city applications observed in the fields of energy and transport, which constitute high-priority domains for the development of smart cities. However, these are not the only fields where the impact of smart cities has been limited. The paper provides an explanation for the low impact of various individual applications of smart cities and d...
متن کاملOntologies for a Global Language Infrastructure
With the recent developments of the Semantic Web and progresses of the associated methodologies and standards, demands for an open and distributed infrastructure for sharing language resources and technologies can be addressed now on a new basis (Buitelaar et al., 2003; Calzolari, 2008). In this article, we call such an infrastructure a global language infrastructure (GLI). GLI should accommoda...

The definitions of the indicators exist only in written form. The purpose of this research is to provide an ontology for representing...
متن کاملPhysical-digital integration in city infrastructure
There is increasing recognition by researchers, businesses, and policymakers of the value of integrating the systems of systems of which cities are comprised. It is less clear how this can be achieved, in practice, from a technical and organizational standpoint. This paper is concerned with one element of this integration, namely, the integration of physical infrastructures and digital technolo...
