چکیده
Curcumin has been traditionally used in food recipes for biological health benefits. However, these properties are compromised due to its very low bioavailability. Thus, this work assessed the impact of using natural potential bioenhancers improve intestinal permeability and understanding interaction flavonoids with curcuminoids through molecular dynamic simulation. The (Papp) was measured on human colon carcinoma cell line (Caco-2). Papp values Caco-2 monolayers provided information regarding increased curcumin across barrier specially caused by presence citrus (100.45%), milk thistle extracts (81.70%) at level +1 showed higher increase (%) compared 0. With respect soft standardized green propolis EPP-AF extract, 0 (26.34%). Molecular (MD) simulations naringin silybin B confirmed concentrations non-covalent interactions. These results suggest prominent importance association as bioavailability

Relationship between structure and permeability of tryptophan derivatives across human intestinal epithelial (Caco-2) cells.
L-Trp and its derivatives were used as model compounds to clarify structural factors which influence the intestinal epithelial permeation and metabolism of amino-acid derivatives. Permeability of model compounds through Caco-2 cells was used as an in vitro absorption model for human intestinal epithelial cells. The influence of compound concentration, the effects of various transporter substrat...
متن کاملPseudomonas fluorescens alters epithelial permeability and translocates across Caco-2/TC7 intestinal cells
BACKGROUND Pseudomonas fluorescens has long been considered as a psychrotrophic microorganism. Recently, we have shown that clinical strains of P. fluorescens (biovar 1) are able to adapt at a growth temperature of 37°C or above and induce a specific inflammatory response. Interestingly, a highly specific antigen of P. fluorescens, I2, is detected in the serum of patients with Crohn's disease b...
متن کاملCopper treatment alters the permeability of tight junctions in cultured human intestinal Caco-2 cells.
The effects of copper on tight-junction permeability were investigated in human intestinal Caco-2 cells, monitoring transepithelial electrical resistance and transepithelial passage of mannitol. Apical treatment of Caco-2 cells with 10-100 μM CuCl2 (up to 3 h) produced a time- and concentration-dependent increase in tight-junction permeability, reversible after 24 h in complete medium in the ab...
متن کاملEvaluation of the intestinal permeability of rosemary (Rosmarinus officinalis L.) extract polyphenols and terpenoids in Caco-2 cell monolayers
Rosemary (Rosmarinus officinalis) is grown throughout the world and is widely used as a medicinal herb and to season and preserve food. Rosemary polyphenols and terpenoids have attracted great interest due to their potential health benefits. However, complete information regarding their absorption and bioavailability in Caco-2 cell model is scarce. The permeation properties of the bioactive com...
