چکیده

The circadian clock is an endogenous regulation mechanism that coordinates biological processes with daily changes, which are regulated by genes. Bmal1 and Period key genes their roles in reproductive development have been widely studied. spawning time of Sinonovacula constricta limited to the night even under external artificial stimulation, it might be internal clock. In this study, heart rate S. was higher between 20:00-04:00 at lower 12:00-16:00 during day, sex hormone contents were highest 00:00 lowest 18:00 ( P < 0.01). Therefore, these obvious changes rhythm indicate a nocturnal animal. open reading frame (ORF) comprises 1944 bp encoding 647 aa, while ORF 3111 1036 aa. both expressed four tissues, but they had opposite rhythmic expression patterns. 00:00-06:00 12:00-18:00, opposite, thereby suggesting involved positive negative pathways clock, respectively. Strong protein fluorescence signals proteins observed mature oocytes, spermatids, hepatocytes, epithelial cells siphons. After siRNA interference, significantly decreased 0.01), from 3 7 days treatment groups Therefore may regulate controlling secretion. These findings provide theoretical basis for understanding molecular related spawning, facilitate propagation mollusks.

Identification of Angiotensin I-Converting Enzyme Inhibitory Peptides Derived from Enzymatic Hydrolysates of Razor Clam Sinonovacula constricta

Angiotensin I-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitory activity of razor clam hydrolysates produced using five proteases, namely, pepsin, trypsin, alcalase, flavourzyme and proteases from Actinomucor elegans T3 was investigated. Flavourzyme hydrolysate showed the highest level of degree of hydrolysis (DH) (45.87%) followed by A. elegans T3 proteases hydrolysate (37.84%) and alcalase (30.55%). The A. ...

Development of Molecular Resources for an Intertidal Clam, Sinonovacula constricta, Using 454 Transcriptome Sequencing

BACKGROUND The razor clam Sinonovacula constricta is a benthic intertidal bivalve species with important commercial value. Despite its economic importance, knowledge of its transcriptome is scarce. Next generation sequencing technologies offer rapid and efficient tools for generating large numbers of sequences, which can be used to characterize the transcriptome, to develop effective molecular ...

Core Circadian Clock Genes Regulate Leukemia Stem Cells in AML

Leukemia stem cells (LSCs) have the capacity to self-renew and propagate disease upon serial transplantation in animal models, and elimination of this cell population is required for curative therapies. Here, we describe a series of pooled, in vivo RNAi screens to identify essential transcription factors (TFs) in a murine model of acute myeloid leukemia (AML) with genetically and phenotypically...

Potential Roles of Dec and Bmal1 Genes in Interconnecting Circadian Clock and Energy Metabolism

The daily rhythm of mammalian energy metabolism is subject to the circadian clock system, which is made up of the molecular clock machinery residing in nearly all cells throughout the body. The clock genes have been revealed not only to form the molecular clock but also to function as a mediator that regulates both circadian and metabolic functions. While the circadian signals generated by cloc...

Sex-Linked period Genes in the Silkmoth, Antheraea pernyi Implications for Circadian Clock Regulation and the Evolution of Sex Chromosomes

Regulation of the period (per) gene is a critical feature of circadian clock function in insects. Here, we show that per is sex-linked in the silkmoth, Antheraea per-nyi. The previously described silkmoth per gene is found on the Z chromosome. Silkmoth per is not dosage compensated at either the RNA or the protein level. Although earlier studies showed the presence of an oscillating endogenous ...
