چکیده

The thought of using branched-chain amino acids (BCAA) in the prevention and treatment certain disorders is becoming increasingly popular. Individual BCAA use has been associated with improving glucose tolerance liver disease. Previous studies have cited improvements metabolism a single dose L-isoleucine (ILE). However, it still unclear whether chronic consumption ILE any direct benefit. objective this study was to examine influence supplementation alone or combination exercise on fasting serum glucose, insulin, lipids, lipoprotein cholesterol levels; tolerance; hepatic lipids rats. Male Sprague-Dawley rats (n = 40) were divided into Control (low fructose diet); High Fructose diet (HF); HF plus 1.5% (HF + ILE); EX); EX). diets consisted 70% kcalories from fructose. After 6 weeks treatment, no significant differences observed between groups for changes levels. total significantly lower EX compared HF, while, had free HF. We also found response following an oral test. In conclusion, our shows that does not lipid biomarkers but may metabolic pathways within liver.

Effect of S-Methyl-L-Cysteine on Oxidative Stress, Inflammation and Insulin Resistance in Male Wistar Rats Fed with High Fructose Diet

Background: S-methyl cysteine (SMC) is a hydrophilic cysteine-containing compound naturally found in garlic and onion. The purpose of the present study was to investigate the protective effect of SMC on oxidative stress, inflammation and insulin resistance in an experiment of metabolic syndrome. Methods: Male Wistar rats were divided into five groups (6 rats in each group), namely; control, cont...

[Effect of selenium on serum, hepatic and lipoprotein lipids concentration in rats fed on a high-cholesterol diet].

The effects of Selenium (Se) on lipid metabolism was studied in male Wistar rats which were fed a high-cholesterol diet (HCD) containing 1%(w/w) cholesterol and 0.5%(w/w) cholic acid for 10 weeks. Se was orally administered at daily doses of 0.173 mg/kg in HCD into the test rats for 10 weeks. As compared with control groups, Se/HCD suppressed the amounts of triglyceride (TG), total cholesterol ...

The Effect of Iranian Shallot or Garlic Aqueous Extracts on Learning, Memory and Serum Biochemical Variables in Fructose-fed Wistar Rats

Objective(s) We determined the effect of a high fructose diet either alone or in combination with Iranian shallot or garlic extract on cognitive functions, plasma lipid profile, and the intraperitoneal glucose tolerance test (IPGTT). Materials and Methods Following induction of insulin resistance in fructose-fed rats (Fru-fed), they were randomly assigned to three subgroups. The first subgro...

Effect of combination therapy with diazepam and glibenclamide on serum lipids and glucose in type 2 diabetic rats

Background and Objective: Several studies have found that diazepam decreases serum glucose. Meanwhile, glibenclamide is commonly used in diabetes treatment. The objective of this study was to survey the treatment impact of diazepam and glibenclamide on blood glucose and serum lipids in mice with type II diabetes. Materials and Methods: In this study, 32 male rats were divided into four groups,...
