Chronic inflammation and progression of chronic kidney disease in patients with type 2 diabetes

چکیده
Chronic inflammation, atherosclerosis, tubulointerstitial fibrosis, and vascular damage play a crucial role in the progression of chronic kidney disease (CKD) patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (DM). However, specific biomarkers that can determine diabetic disease, including minimal albuminuria, remain undefined.
The present study aimed to markers inflammation as indicators CKD DM.
Methods. 45 DM stage 1-3 were involved this cross-sectional observational study. Analysis cellular mechanisms was performed on concentrations endothelin-1 (ET-1), fibronectin (FN), tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-?), transforming growth factor beta-1 (TGF-?1), monocyte chemoattractant protein (MCP) -1) serum.
Results. In DM, an increasing trend majority endothelial proinflammatory mediators found according stages despite normal albuminuria.
Conclusions. Concentrations TNF-?, ET, TGF-?1 MCP-1 be used assess albuminuria. Further researches are needed early progression.

Progression of Increased Oxidative Stress and Inflammation in Chronic Kidney Disease Patients with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus
Type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) patients have increased oxidative stress, inflammation and reduced antioxidant defenses mechanisms in the circulatory system. This study demonstrates the progression and correlation of oxidative stress and inflammation with chronic kidney disease (CKD), pre-hemodialysis and hemodialysis in T2DM patients. A total of 292 T2DM patients participated in the present st...
متن کاملChronic kidney disease screening and renoprotection in type 2 diabetes.
BACKGROUND Type 2 diabetes (T2D) is a major cause of chronic kidney disease. Control of hypertension and the use of angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitors (ACEI) and/or angiotensin II receptor blockers especially in those with proteinuria have been shown to protect against chronic kidney disease and delay its progression to kidney failure. METHODS We reviewed the medical records of 169 pati...

Background: Type 2 diabetes mellitus (DM) and chronic periodontitis (CP) show common pathophysiological features. We investigated the serum levels of IL-23 and IL-35 in people with type 2 DM and CP. Methods: In a cross-sectional study, 72 patients were divided into four equal groups: group A, participants without type 2 DM and CP; group B, patients with type 2 DM without CP; group C, patients ...
متن کاملErythrocyte metformin levels in patients with type 2 diabetes and varying severity of chronic kidney disease
On the basis on a novel metformin assay, Frid et al. published clinical recommendations on use of the drug in patients with type 2 diabetes and varying severity of chronic kidney disease (CKD). The researchers stated that a threshold of 20 lmol/L (2.8 mg/L) was a ‘preliminary upper therapeutic limit’ [1]. However, the latter work can be questioned for several reasons: (i) the patients with an e...

This article aims to investigate the long-term risk of incident chronic kidney disease (CKD) in type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) patients with hypoglycemia. This nationwide, population-based, propensity score (PS)-matched cohort study involved 2 cohorts: a hypoglycemic cohort and a matched cohort without hypoglycemia. Data from 1.3 million patients with newly diagnosed T2DM between 2000 and 2010 ...
