چکیده

Willow (Salicaceae) bark contains a variety of antioxidant phytochemicals depending mainly on the hybrid. In this study, hot water extraction willow was coupled with sequential preparative scale chromatography to purify crude extracts well-separated and highly concentrated phytochemical fraction. The pre-equilibrated hydrophilic weak cation exchange resins (with acrylic matrix in Na+ ions form) achieved good separation from monosaccharide fractions. Secondly, individual can be purified based their size hydrophobicity differences, using gel permeation adsorption column chromatography. Surprisingly, G-types sephadex demonstrated an efficient not only monosaccharides but complete between (+)-catechin triandrin. Picein salicin further separated according differences. compounds quickly quantified high performance liquid chromatography, gas high-performance anion-exchange picein triandrin were characterized by one- two-dimensional nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy techniques. Additionally, authentic applied confirm identification, quantification purity. technique described here might fast, economical, way large-scale isolation purification bark.

Safety Evaluation of Mangifera Indica Bark for Raw Water Purification

Background: Synthetic coagulants commonly used for water treatment are associated with undesirable properties, such as inefficacy and toxicity in addition to being expensive. Natural coagulants are considered safe and economical alternatives for developing countries where the plants are abundantly available. Methods: The phytochemical composition and safety of water samples treated with Mang...

Thin-layer chromatography and multivariate data analysis of willow bark extracts.

In most cases the pharmacological activity of plant extracts is not assigned to single components and often not all active ingredients are known. Approaches other than those considering single compounds only to analyze plant material have proven helpful for a better characterization of extracts in their entirety. In this study extracts of willow bark are analyzed by high-performance thin-layer ...

From Willow Bark to PolyAspirin: History, Discovery and Innovation

Degradable polymers based on polyanhydrides are essentially polymeric prodrugs; the polymers hydrolytically degrade into salicylic acid, just as aspirin hydrolyzes into salicylic acid upon ingestion. This talk describes medical applications where the polymer serves as a temporary barrier that degrades into therapeutically active molecules such as non-steroidal antiinflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) an...

The Study of Interactions between Active Compounds of Coffee and Willow (Salix sp.) Bark Water Extract

Coffee and willow are known as valuable sources of biologically active phytochemicals such as chlorogenic acid, caffeine, and salicin. The aim of the study was to determine the interactions between the active compounds contained in water extracts from coffee and bark of willow (Salix purpurea and Salix myrsinifolia). Raw materials and their mixtures were characterized by multidirectional antiox...
