Choice of the Model for Vibro-impact Nonlinear Energy Sink

The nonlinear energy sink (NES) is defined as a single-degree-of-freedom structural element with relatively small mass and weak dissipation, attached to primary structure via essentially coupling. It passive dissipation device designed rapidly absorb vibration (due shock, blast, earthquakes, etc.) from locally dissipate it. article contains mini-review of the works on NESs. Design schemes for single-sided double-sided vibro-impact NESs (SSVI DSVI NESs) are proposed basis conceptual design NES that exist in world scientific literature. motion equations impact rule given. quasistatic Hertz contact law adopted rule. Various representations impulsive loading discussed. These excitations by initial velocities only, periodic excitation, shock half-sine form, impulses rectangular shape,wind, seismic broadband excitation. Tables some numerical parameters can be accepted VI Using presented data, authors intend investigate both efficiency SSVI under different types load, their dynamical behavior changing parameters.
