Chinese Residents’ Philosophy and Religion in Contemporary China and North America

The cultural dimension of sustainability as the fourth pillar overall sustainable development framework encompasses both tangible and intangible cultures. In this study, culture refers to home environments Chinese residents in China North America, while their faiths belief systems, other words, philosophy religion, reflected (or not) environments. paper argues that religion have historically contributed people’s environmental ethics health happiness. Set within context, presents author’s two empirical research findings on residents’ contemporary America. Quantitative qualitative data were collected by asking same question 2007-2008 onsite survey follow-up interviews Beijing Suzhou China, 2013 online US Canada. show a significantly higher percentage ethnic America holds traditional than those though Western infiltration is also happening them. Nevertheless, due limited number participants, may only be indicative.
