Chemical Feedback of Pebble Growth: Impacts on CO depletion and C/O ratios

Observations of protoplanetary disks have revealed them to be complex and dynamic, with vertical radial transport gas dust occurring simultaneously chemistry planet formation. Previous models focused primarily on chemical evolution in a static disk, or dynamical solids chemically passive disk. In this paper, we present new 1D method for modelling pebble growth simultaneously. Gas small particles are allowed diffuse vertically, connecting at all elevations the Pebbles assumed form from around midplane, inheriting composition ices location. We results model after 1 Myr disk 1$M_\odot$ star various locations both inside outside CO snowline. find that turbulent ($\alpha = 10^{-3}$), is depleted surface layers by roughly 1-2 orders magnitude, consistent observations disks. This achieved combination ice sequestration decreasing UV opacity, driven growth. Further, selective removal species via can increase phase C/O ratios values approximately unity. However, our unable produce $\sim$1.5-2.0 inferred observations, implying not sufficient explain $>1$.
