Chemical, Crystallinity and Morphological Changes of Rubberwood (Hevea brasiliensis (Willd. ex A. Juss.) Müll. Arg.) Hydrothermally Treated in Different Buffered Media

چکیده
Hydrothermal treatment is an efficient and environmentally friendly method of enhancing the dimensional stability durability wood. The destructive effects formic acetic acids generated during thermal treatment, on other hand, are known to have a negative impact wood strength. As result, hydrothermal in different buffered media (acidic, neutral, alkaline buffer) was performed this study mitigate acids. heating media, acidic buffer (pH 4 6), 8 10), tap water 7.43) were used treat rubberwood at three temperatures (160 °C, 180 200 °C). chemical components, crystallinity, morphological changes treated untreated studied. results experiments revealed that constituents changed along with pH temperature. Rubberwood showed least degradation, whereas medium caused most severe degradation. crystallinity increased initially (from 160 °C) then decreased further °C. In addition, minimal damage cell observed medium.

Differential carbohydrate metabolism conducts morphogenesis in embryogenic callus of Hevea brasiliensis (Müll. Arg.).
Somatic embryogenesis in Hevea is stimulated when the embryogenesis induction medium contains maltose, rather than glucose, fructose, or sucrose, in equimolarity (Blanc et al., 1999). Kinetic analyses were carried out on various physiological and biochemical indicators over the 8 weeks that the induction phase then expression of somatic embryogenesis can take. Embryogenesis induction in the pre...
متن کاملPurification and characterization of NAD(P)H quinone reductase from the latex of Hevea brasiliensis Müll.-Arg. (Euphorbiaceae).
NAD(P)H quinone reductase [NAD(P)H-QR] present in the latex of Hevea brasiliensis Müll.-Arg. (Euphorbiaceae) was purified to homogeniety from the B-serum fraction obtained by freeze-thawing of the bottom fraction of ultracentrifuged fresh latex. The purification protocol involved acetone fractionation, heat treatment, ion exchange chromatography and affinity chromatography. The M(r) determined ...
متن کاملClonal stability of tree dryness in Hevea brasiliensis Muell. Arg
Clonal stability of tree dryness was evaluated in eleven clones of Hevea brasiliensis at the Rubber Research Institute of Nigeria. The experimental design was the randomized complete block with three replicates and ten trees per replicate. The clones were evaluated in three locations. Four stability parameters were applied. The stability parameters were: environmental variance, regression index...
متن کاملSeasonal Patterns of Fine Root Production and Turnover in a Mature Rubber Tree (Hevea brasiliensis Müll. Arg.) Stand- Differentiation with Soil Depth and Implications for Soil Carbon Stocks
Fine root dynamics is a main driver of soil carbon stocks, particularly in tropical forests, yet major uncertainties still surround estimates of fine root production and turnover. This lack of knowledge is largely due to the fact that studying root dynamics in situ, particularly deep in the soil, remains highly challenging. We explored the interactions between fine root dynamics, soil depth, an...
متن کاملMites (Arachnida: Acari) collected on rubber trees Hevea brasiliensis (Willd. ex A.Juss.) Müll.Arg. in Santana, Amapá state, Brazil.
The purpose of this study was to elaborate a preliminary list of the mite species associated with rubber trees in the municipality of Santana, in the state of Amapá, Brazil. Two collections of rubber tree leaves were conducted on May 2nd and June 5th , 2010. Twenty-five plants were sampled at random. Three leaves were collected per plant, from the lower third of the crown. The samples were plac...
