Chemical and Phytoplankton profile of two water plants model before and after treatment in Menoufia governorate, Egypt

Safe drinking water is ahealth necessity. This study was for comparing between certain physico-chemical and microbial parameters of two treatment plants (Shebin El-kom conventional plant Shobrabass compact plant) during a period from February 2019 to December 2019. The treated at these had remarkable enhancement as compared with raw one basically the values TDS, conductivity, total alkalinity, phosphates nitrates but has high turbidity ranged 1.6 NTU 3 Shebin El- kom that 0.18 0.33 NTU. Regarding biotic component, it proved both fecal coliform beside algae disappeared more or less completely end process. results showed diverse phytoplankton structures three groups namely: Bacillariophyta, Chlorophyta Cyanophycta. Bacillariophyta represented most widespread group in accounted 72.6 % and72.7%, respectively annual crop, followed by chlorophyta 17.4% 15.5%, Cyanophyta ranked 3rd 11.6% 11.5% crop water, respectively. effective than Shobrabas obtain better potable so modification performed on Shobrabas. final decreased 2.3 1.4 algal count (1000× 10³ organisms/ L) (26× L).
