Charge dynamics in magnetically disordered Mott insulators

چکیده
With the aid of both a semianalytical and numerically exact method, we investigate charge dynamics in vicinity half-filling one- two-dimensional $t\text{\ensuremath{-}}J$ model derived from Fermi-Hubbard limit large interaction $U$ hence small exchange coupling $J$. The spin degrees freedom are taken to be disordered. So consider $0<J\ensuremath{\ll}T\ensuremath{\ll}W$, where $W$ is bandwidth. We focus on evaluating local spectral density single hole excitation gap that separates upper lower Hubbard band. find indications no band edges exist if magnetic into account; instead edges, Gaussian tails seem appear. A discussion underlying physics provided.

Mechanism of hopping transport in disordered mott insulators.
By using a combination of detailed experimental studies and simple theoretical arguments, we identify a novel mechanism characterizing the hopping transport in the Mott insulating phase of Ca2-xSrxRuO4 near the metal-insulator transition. The hopping exponent alpha shows a systematic evolution from a value of alpha=1/2 deeper in the insulator to the conventional Mott value alpha=1/3 closer to t...
متن کاملHidden charge 2e Boson in doped Mott insulators.
We construct the low-energy theory of a doped Mott insulator, such as the high-temperature superconductors, by explicitly integrating over the degrees of freedom far away from the chemical potential. For either hole or electron doping, a charge 2e bosonic field emerges at low energy. The charge 2e boson mediates dynamical spectral weight transfer across the Mott gap and creates a new charge e e...
متن کاملElectronic charge reconstruction of doped Mott insulators in multilayered nanostructures
Dynamical mean-field theory is employed to calculate the electronic charge reconstruction of multilayered inhomogeneous devices composed of semi-infinite metallic lead layers sandwiching barrier planes of a strongly correlated material that can be tuned through the metal-insulator Mott transition . The main focus is on barriers that are doped Mott-insulators, and how the electronic charge recon...
متن کاملMott Insulators, Spin Liquids and Quantum Disordered Superconductivity
These introductory lecture notes describe recent results on novel Mott insulating phases which are “descendents” of superconductors – obtained by “quantum disordering”. After a brief overview of quantum magnetism, attention is focussed on the spin – liquid phase of the two-leg Hubbard ladder and the nodal liquid – a descendent of the dx2−y2 superconductor. These notes are self-contained and an ...
متن کاملField effect on organic charge-ordered/Mott insulators
Electrostatic carrier injection into insulating molecular conductors has been examined by fabricating field effect transistor structure in two kinds of procedures. One procedure employed a direct growth of the organic single crystals by electrochemical reaction on platinum electrodes deposited on the gate dielectric. In the other procedure very thin crystals were laminated on the substrate in e...
