چکیده

The investigation of renewable and recyclable materials becomes more critical every day due to the high levels waste carbon emissions their impact on environment. use eco-friendly materials, such as natural fibers bioplastics, is increasingly important, always popular. aim this research evaluate changes in properties composite made Poly-Butyl-Succinate (PBS), a biodegradable thermoplastic matrix, fiber when some layers are replaced by flax create hybrid composite; order obtain material environmentally friendly with similar mechanical properties. To modify fiber's surface energy improve wettability PBS an Atmospheric Pressure Plasma Torch (APPT) treatment was performed. fibers' surfaces were characterized measuring contact angle; angle values confirmed accordingly, adhesion increased after plasma treatment. Different experiments performed substituting material's thermal properties: tensile test, three-point bending tests differential scanning calorimetry. Replacing core layer one or two did not compromise stability. It led manufacturing improved higher resistance. • Development biocomposite from polymer, hot press technique. Impact resistance improvement replacing for biopolymer composites. Improvement substitution layers.

Virus-poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene) biocomposite films.

Virus-poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene) (virus-PEDOT) biocomposite films are prepared by electropolymerizing 3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene (EDOT) in aqueous electrolytes containing 12 mM LiClO(4) and the bacteriophage M13. The concentration of virus in these solutions, [virus](soln), is varied from 3 to 15 nM. A quartz crystal microbalance is used to directly measure the total mass of the biocompos...

Biocomposite from polylactic acid and lignocellulosic fibers: structure-property correlations.

PLA biocomposites were prepared using three corn cob fractions and a wood fiber as reference. The composites were characterized by tensile testing, scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and polarization optical microscopy (POM). Micromechanical deformation processes were followed by acoustic emission measurements. The different strength of the components was proved by direct measurements. Two cons...

Synthesis and Characterization of Novel PVA/SiO2-TiO2 Hybrid Fibers

Hybrid sols of poly (vinyl alcohol) (PVA)/Silicon oxide-titanium oxide (SiO2-TiO2) were prepared with tetraethoxylsilane and tetrabutyl titanate as precursor using Sol-Gel method. PVA/SiO2-TiO2 hybrid fibers were prepared by drawing from the hybrid sols using dip-coating method and aging treatment. The spinnability of hybrid sols was investigated. Spinnable time (t) and spinnable length (l) of ...
