چکیده

This paper describes the experimental results of removing arsenic from dust collected in electrostatic precipitators a fluidized bed roasting furnace (RP dust). The process generates 600 kilotons copper concentrate per year with 3 - 6 wt% concentration arsenic, producing roasted product low content below 0.3 wt%. 27 RP order 5 and around 20 Subsequently, is treated by hydrometallurgical methods allowing recovery copper, disposition as scorodite. work proposes to use pyrometallurgy volatilization dust. obtained material can be recirculated smelting furnaces valuable metals. set experiments carried out mixture concentrate/RP sulfur/RP used different ratios mixtures, temperatures times. By techniques, characterization determined its size distribution, morphology, chemical mineralogical composition. composite small particles (<5 μm) 50 μm agglomerates, mostly amorphous, complex composition sulfoxides. indicated that for 75/25 weight ratio concentrate/PR under 700℃, 15 minutes time injection air, reached 96% weight. after less than 0.3% For 5/95 dust, at 650℃, promissory result 67%. Even this study was particular operation, have potential extended produced concentrates nickel, lead-zinc, gold.

A Laboratory Study of Removing Arsenic from a Synthetic Copper Concentrate

Arsenic is the 20th most abundant element in the earth's crust at a level of about 2 ppm. It is a constituent of over 300 minerals and is commonly found in non-ferrous ores such as copper, lead, zinc, gold and uranium. Efficient separation of arsenic minerals from other sulphide minerals is of great importance for the metallurgical performance of flotation processes. This work was undertaken to...

Synthesis and Characterization of Graphene Oxide Nano-Sheets for Effective Removal of Copper Phthalocyanine from Aqueous Media

Graphene Oxide (GO) nano sheets was synthesized from graphite by Hummers method. The nature and morphology of the GO were characterized using FT-IR, UV-Vis, SEM and XRD analysis. Batch sorption experiments were carried out to remove copper (ii) phthalocyanine-tetrasulfonic acid tetrasodium salt [Cu(tsPc)-4.4Na+] from its aqueous solutions using GO as an adsorbent. Experime...
