Adsorption-desorption characteristics of lead in variable charge soils.

Adsorption desorption processes of Pb at contaminated levels in two variable charge soils were investigated. The red soil (RAR) developed on the Arenaceous rock (clayey, mixed siliceous thermic typic Dystrochrept) adsorbed more Pb2+ than the red soil (REQ) derived from the Quaternary red earths (clayey, kaolinitic thermic plinthite Aquult). The maximum adsorption values (Xm) that were obtained ...

determinant of the hankel matrix with binomial entries

abstract in this thesis at first we comput the determinant of hankel matrix with enteries a_k (x)=?_(m=0)^k??((2k+2-m)¦(k-m)) x^m ? by using a new operator, ? and by writing and solving differential equation of order two at points x=2 and x=-2 . also we show that this determinant under k-binomial transformation is invariant.

the evaluation of language related engagment and task related engagment with the purpose of investigating the effect of metatalk and task typology

abstract while task-based instruction is considered as the most effective way to learn a language in the related literature, it is oversimplified on various grounds. different variables may affect how students are engaged with not only the language but also with the task itself. the present study was conducted to investigate language and task related engagement on the basis of the task typolog...

A Mechanism Of Meshing A Folded Airbag

This work presents a novel algorithm for generating a geometric mesh of an airbag after a series of folds are defined on it, for use in crash simulations. The process of airbag folding is simulated as a series of geometric transformations to the airbag mesh, which is modeled as a stack of connected planar layers. Along with these transformations, optimization techniques are used to minimise cha...

Solving second-order conic systems with variable precision

We describe and analyze an interior-point method to decide feasibility problems of second-order conic systems. A main feature of our algorithm is that arithmetic operations are performed with finite precision. Bounds for both the number of arithmetic operations and the finest precision required are exhibited.
