Characteristics of Hybrid Nanolubricants for MQL Cooling Lubrication Machining Application

Efficient and effective lubricants have great application prospects in the manufacturing industries. Minimum quantity lubrication (MQL) machining with low flow rate of nanolubricants is investigated for cooling during process. This paper investigates characterization graphene-mixed aluminium oxide (G-Al2O3) hybrid nanomixture spent MQL purposes. The main advantage this method to reduce disposal develop high-performance cooling-lubrication by using G-Al2O3 nanoparticles different volume composition ratios at a constant 1.0% concentration base liquid mixture 40% lubricants. Before conducting measurements nanolubricants’ thermal conductivity dynamic viscosity, were homogenous stable. tribological performance all was evaluated four-ball wear tribotester machine. peak value nanolubricant obtained highest enhancement, up 29% higher than solution, obtained. viscosity variation lower 40:60 ratio. properties enhancement ratio suggests that aid heat transfer, especially 60:40 20:80. lowest coefficient friction (COF) be 0.064, 45% as compared solution. In conclusion, optimum determined 20:80 60:40. Regarding ratio, combination enhanced thermophysical had more advantages application.
