چکیده
Hladnikia pastinacifolia, the most prominent endemic plant species in Slovenia, is rare and protected because it a stenoendemic paleoendemic restricted to area of Trnovski gozd (W Slovenia). However, this can be found various habitats. The disparity between non-specific habitat preference its rarity has not been sufficiently explained. Here we focus on functional morphological features that are indicative for ecology species: anatomical characteristics leaves. pastinacifolia exhibits heterophylly during ontogeny (heteroblasty). We aimed describe compare three H. leaf morphotypes among them relation Therefore, compared thickness lamina, spongy palisade parenchyma, upper lower epidermis number stomata epidermis. These measurements were further used calculate ratio index density stomata. determined heteroblasty belongs Apium-type. Results showed five-pinnate leaves distinct type, being thickest, with highest numbers abaxially. When habitats, from scree thickest according all tissue layers studied. indices calculated less useful distinction types

Micropropagation of the narrow endemic Hladnikia pastinacifolia (Apiaceae)
The monotypic Hladnikia pastinacifolia Rchb. is a narrow endemic species, with an extremely small distribution area in Slovenia, prone to any kind of threat that could lead to species extinction. Tissue culture techniques are proposed as a conservation measure for rapid propagation and ex-situ conservation. Tissue culture was initiated from seeds and juvenile plants obtained from natural sites ...

We studied the anatomy of a rare narrow endemic species belonging to the Slovenian fl ora – Hladnikia pastinacifolia Rchb. Hladnikia is a monotypic genus with distinct taxonomic position within the Apiaceae family. The anatomical characteristics revealed by light and fl uorescence microscopy provided new insights regarding the pollen, leaf and root characteristics of H. pastinacifolia, improvin...

The composition of essential oils of Leutea glaucopruinosa (Rech.f.) Akhani & Salimian comb. nov., and Zeravschania (Boiss. & Hausskn.) Salimian & Akhani comb. nov. were analysed by GC-MS. 49 compounds are identified in the former and 33 compounds in the latter, comprising a total of 76 compounds in both species. Both species were originally described under Peucedanum, which are transferred in ...
