Channel Modeling and Characterization for VLC-Based Medical Body Sensor Networks: Trends and Challenges

چکیده

Optical Wireless Communication (OWC) refers to transmission in unguided propagation media through the use of optical carriers, i.e., visible, Infrared (IR), and Ultraviolet (UV) bands. In this paper, we focus on indoor Visible Light (VLC)-based Medical Body Sensor Networks (MBSNs) which allow Emitting Diodes (LEDs) communicate between on-body sensors/subdermal implants central hubs/monitoring devices while also serving as a luminaire. Since Quality-of-Service (QoS) communication systems depends heavily realistic channel modeling characterization, paper aims at presenting an up-to-date survey works activities for MBSNs. The first part reviews existing IR-based MBSNs models based VLC are derived. second review provides details VLC-based according mobility patient’s body. We present approach called site-specific ray tracing that considers skin tissue hospital scenarios.

Dynamic Propagation Channel Characterization and Modeling for Human Body Communication

This paper presents the first characterization and modeling of dynamic propagation channels for human body communication (HBC). In-situ experiments were performed using customized transceivers in an anechoic chamber. Three HBC propagation channels, i.e., from right leg to left leg, from right hand to left hand and from right hand to left leg, were investigated under thirty-three motion scenario...

Wireless Sensor Networks ‘ Future trends and Latest Research Challenges ’

Wireless Sensor networks (WSNs) have become one of the most interesting areas of research in the past few years. A WSN is composed of a number of wireless sensor nodes which form a sensor field and a sink. These large numbers of nodes, having the abilities to sense their surroundings, perform limited computation and communicate wirelessly form the WSNs. Recent advances in wireless and electroni...
