How to bring about positive change is a key concern in cultural-historical theory. There an urgent imperative address questions of transformation at the nexus individual and social. One way approach this through concept agency, means which people go beyond coping with problems or adapting status quo, instead striving make future that ought be reality. This paper takes up ideas from Stetsenko’s transformative activist stance (TAS), Sannino’s agency by double stimulation (TADS), Edwards’ relational tracing emergence enactment among parents children complex feeding difficulties. These were unable eat orally, using tube feed. Each family strived towards, realised, futures where their child was able feed without tube. Parents acted agentically ways contingent upon relevant cultural tools. Such tools are more inclusive, equitable nurturing for all families.
