Changes in the Gut Microbiota Composition of Juvenile Olive Flounder (Paralichthys olivaceus) Caused by Pathogenic Bacterial Infection

چکیده
The fish gut microbiota plays an important role in overall health. However, few reports have described the changes composition of following infection with pathogenic bacteria olive flounder (Paralichthys olivaceus). Here, we reported after treatment each three (Edwardsiella tarda, Streptococcus iniae, and Vibrio harveyi). Edwardsiella tarda decreased relative abundance Verrucomicrobia increased Proteobacteria at phylum level over time. Similarly, iniae reduced Verrucomicrobia. harveyi caused a decrease Firmicutes Proteobacteria. At genus level, all pathogens Ralstonia Sphingomonas species. Conversely, this abundances Rubritalea, Saccharimonas, Bacillus Therefore, reducing increasing might help maintain healthy balance. This research be useful for future studies on improving health through regulation.

Long Photoperiod Affects Gonadal Development in Olive Flounder Paralichthys olivaceus
To effects of sex maturation in olive flounder by regulating long photoperiod, gonadal development and GTH mRNA expression in the pituitary were investigated. Photoperiod was treated natural photoperiod and long photoperiod (15L:9D) conditions from September 2011 to March 2012. The results showed that natural photoperiodic group showed a higher gonadosomatic index (GSI) than long photoperiodic ...
متن کاملGenetic Linkage Map of Olive Flounder, Paralichthys olivaceus
Olive flounder, Paralichthys olivaceus, is an important fish species in Asia, both for fisheries and aquaculture. As the first step for better understanding the genomic structure and functional analysis, we constructed a genetic linkage map for olive flounder based on 180 microsatellites and 31 expressed sequence tag (EST)-derived markers. Twenty-four linkage groups were identified, consistent ...
متن کاملTranscriptional Responses of Olive Flounder (Paralichthys olivaceus) to Low Temperature
The olive flounder (Paralichthys olivaceus) is an economically important flatfish in marine aquaculture with a broad thermal tolerance ranging from 14 to 23°C. Cold-tolerant flounder that can survive during the winter season at a temperature of less than 14°C might facilitate the understanding of the mechanisms underlying the response to cold stress. In this study, the transcriptional response ...
متن کاملDietary Isoleucine Influences Non-Specific Immune Response in Juvenile Olive Flounder (Paralichthys olivaceus)
A 9-week feeding trial was conducted in low temperature season to evaluate the effects of varying levels of dietary isoleucine on hematology and innate immune response of juvenile olive flounder. Six isonitrogenous (45% crude protein) and isocaloric (4.45 kcal g gross energy) diets containing graded levels of isoleucine (0.48, 0.87, 1.43, 1.94, 2.37 and 2.78% dry diet) were formulated. Triplica...
متن کاملEffects of extruded pellet and moist pellet on growth performance, body composition, and hematology of juvenile olive flounder, Paralichthys olivaceus
A feeding trial was conducted to evaluate the effects of two different sizes of extruded pellets (EP) (EP1 3 mm or EP2 5 mm) and a moist pellet (MP) in olive flounder, Paralichthys olivaceus, reared in semi-recirculation system. A total of 450 fish with an average initial weight of 5.0 ± 0.2 g (mean ± SD) were fed one of the three experimental diets in triplicate groups. At the end of a 6-week ...
