Challenging hernias: a case series of atypical hernias and review of literature

چکیده
Atypical hernias encompass the categories of flank, lumbar, spigelian, suprapubic and subxiphoid among other rarer variants. These are considered to be tribulation in terms their diagnosis management, that they proximity bone, which makes defect delineation, adequate mesh overlap, fixation very challenging. Here, we would like highlight a selection our institutional experience with such management. Within institution, 6 cases rare repaired within last months were chosen posed therapeutic challenge operating team. The described are- an interparietal port site incisional hernia, true lumbar flank region traumatic obstructed diaphragmatic hernia. All above successfully managed by team combination abdominal wall reconstruction repair have not reported any post-operative complications follow up period. Literature regarding hernia repairs is becoming more exhaustive day. However, likelihood encounter practice still less. Hence, it essential further knowledge about management complex make informed decision tailored patient’s requirements.
