Ceratozamia aurantiaca (Zamiaceae): A New Cycad Species from the Northern Rainforests of Oaxaca, Mexico

چکیده

Ceratozamia aurantiaca, a new cycad species from Oaxaca, Mexico, is described. The endemic to lowland karst tropical rainforests of the northern mountains (Sierra Norte region). This related C. subroseophylla and robusta, together considered part robusta complex due their shared characteristics: robust, upright trunk; large long leaves with densely armed petioles linear subfalcate leaflets; megastrobili. as epithet suggests, easily distinguished other by orange color its emerging leaves, trait unique in genus. Additionally, aurantiaca having significantly shorter petioles, wider spacing between leaflets, median leaflets. taxonomic recognition this represents step toward clarifying delimitation complex.
