چکیده
In this paper, we proposed a central moment discrete unified gas-kinetic scheme (DUGKS) for multiphase flows with large density ratio and high Reynolds number. Two sets of kinetic equations central-moment-based multiple relaxation time collision operator are employed to approximate the incompressible Navier-Stokes conservative phase field equation interface-capturing, respectively. framework DUGKS, first distribution function hydrodynamic is defined as velocity instead momentum. Meanwhile, zeroth moments external force carefully such that artificial pressure evolution can be recovered. Moreover, Strang splitting technique integration avoid calculation spatial derivatives in term at cell faces. For interface-capturing equation, two equivalent DUGKS methods deal diffusion differently using source well modified equilibrium presented. Several benchmark tests cover wide range ratios (up 1000) numbers 105) subsequently carried out demonstrate capabilities scheme. Numerical results good agreement theoretical experimental data.

Discrete unified gas kinetic scheme for all Knudsen number flows: low-speed isothermal case.
Based on the Boltzmann-BGK (Bhatnagar-Gross-Krook) equation, in this paper a discrete unified gas kinetic scheme (DUGKS) is developed for low-speed isothermal flows. The DUGKS is a finite-volume scheme with the discretization of particle velocity space. After the introduction of two auxiliary distribution functions with the inclusion of collision effect, the DUGKS becomes a fully explicit schem...
متن کاملDiffuse interface model for incompressible two-phase flows with large density ratios
We investigate the applicability of an incompressible diffuse interface model for two-phase incompressible fluid flows with large viscosity and density contrasts. Diffuse-interface models have been used previously primarily for density-matched fluids, and it remains unclear to what extent such models can be used for fluids of different density, thereby potentially limiting the application of th...
متن کاملA Gas-kinetic Scheme for Reactive Flows
In this paper, the gas-kinetic BGK scheme for the compressible flow equations is extended to chemical reactive flow. The mass fraction of the unburnt gas is implemented into the gas kinetic equation by assigning a new internal degree of freedom to the particle distribution function. The new variable can be also used to describe fluid trajectory for the nonreactive flows. Due to the kinetic gove...

متن کاملA time-stepping scheme involving constant coefficient matrices for phase-field simulations of two-phase incompressible flows with large density ratios
We present an efficient time-stepping scheme for simulations of the coupled Navier– Stokes Cahn–Hilliard equations for the phase field approach. The scheme has several attractive characteristics: (i) it is suitable for large density ratios, and numerical experiments with density ratios up to 1000 have been presented; (ii) it involves only constant (time-independent) coefficient matrices for all...
