Cellulose Ether-Based Liquid Crystal Materials: Review Article
نویسندگان
چکیده
The development of liquid crystal materials via nanotechnology has become an interesting subject research in optical material chemistry. One the significant nanomaterials is cellulose-based nanoparticles. In this review article, we highlighted classification (LCs), and types cellulose-NPs their characterization as LCs materials. Finally, present our promising data on synergistic effect behavior ethyl cellulose- hydroxypropyl nanocomposites.

Liquid Crystal Materials and Liquid Crystal Displays
Since the early 1970s, three major prerequisites have brought the success of the liquid crystal display (LCD) technology to its key role of today. Namely, the discovery of electro-optical field-effects on which the displays are based, the successful search for liquid crystals (LCs) with material properties that meet the complex requirements of electro-optical effects and render the effects appl...
متن کاملCellulose-based materials
Cellulose represents the most abundant renewable and biodegradable polymeric material on earth. Due to its low cost and functional versatility, cellulose has been a key feedstock for the production of chemicals with various properties and applications over the past century. In 2000, the world produces 187 million tons of wood pulp annually. Most of it is used as raw material in the production o...
متن کاملLiquid crystalline cellulose-based nematogels
Physical properties of composite materials can be pre-engineered by controlling their structure and composition at the mesoscale. However, approaches to achieving this are limited and rarely scalable. We introduce a new breed of self-assembled nematogels formed by an orientationally ordered network of thin cellulose nanofibers infiltrated with a thermotropic nematic fluid. The interplay between...
متن کاملUltra-low viscosity liquid crystal materials
We report five ultra-low viscosity nematic liquid crystal mixtures with birefringence around 0.1, dielectric anisotropy in the range of 3 to 6, and clearing temperature about 80°C. A big advantage of these low viscosity mixtures is low activation energy, which significantly suppresses the rising rate of viscosity at low temperatures. Using our mixture M3 as an example, the response time of a 3-...
