Cell cycle regulatory markers as potential prognostic biomarkers in uterine carcinosarcoma
نویسندگان
چکیده
The relevance of cell cycle regulatory markers with uterine carcinosarcoma was investigated. immunohistochemical expression p16, p53, and cyclin D1 were assessed using tissue microarray 55 eligible patients. p16 p53 showed a high rate strong (+3) immune reaction in carcinomatous/sarcomatous components (61.8%/70.9% 52.7%/56.4%, respectively). Cyclin 14.5%/7.3%of the components. Strong related to higher recurrence, lymph node metastasis, bigger tumor size. lower International Federation Gynecology Obstetrics (FIGO) stage recurrence rate. In univariate regression analysis, FIGO stage, prognostic factors for disease-free survival. disease specific multivariate carcinomatous component independent survival (odds ratio (OR), 95% confidence interval (CI); 3.2 (1.1–9.6) 3.5 (1.3–9.7); p = 0.035 0.017). predictor size, outcome carcinosarcoma.

Expression of pluripotent stem cell markers in mouse uterine tissue during estrous cycle
It was assumed that uterine stem cells are responsible for the unique regenerative capacity of uterine. Therefore, the aim of the present study was to investigate the expression of the pluripotent stem cell markers in the mice uterine tissue during different stages of estrous cycles. Twelve virgin female NMRI mice (6 to 8 weeks old) were considered at proestrus, estrus, metestrus and diestrus a...
متن کاملIdentification of MicroRNAs as Potential Prognostic Markers in Ependymoma
INTRODUCTION We have examined expression of microRNAs (miRNAs) in ependymomas to identify molecular markers of value for clinical management. miRNAs are non-coding RNAs that can block mRNA translation and affect mRNA stability. Changes in the expression of miRNAs have been correlated with many human cancers. MATERIALS AND METHODS We have utilized TaqMan Low Density Arrays to evaluate the expr...
متن کاملBtk and NFκB as prognostic biomarkers and potential therapeutic targets in B cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia
Acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) is a malignant disorder of lymphoid progenitor cells characterized by diverse cytogenetic and molecular abnormalities. Although chemotherapy can cure a major proportion of ALL patients, some may relapse and develop serious complications including death. Bruton tyrosine kinase (Btk), a cytoplasmic protein mainly expressed in hematopoietic cells, and nuclear fac...
متن کاملUterine Carcinosarcoma after Pelvic Radiotherapy
Radiation is a treatment of many gynecologic malignancies, especially locally-advanced cervical cancer. Development of second malignancies is a rare complication of radiotherapy. Our patient had uterine carsinosarcoma20 years after radiotherapy for cervical cancer. Two theories of radiationinduced malignancies were described: direct damage of double strand DNA and the abscopal or indirect damag...
متن کاملStaphylococcus aureus Regulatory RNAs as Potential Biomarkers for Bloodstream Infections
Staphylococcus aureus is a commensal bacterium and pathogen. Identifying biomarkers for the transition from colonization to disease caused by this organism would be useful. Several S. aureus small RNAs (sRNAs) regulate virulence. We investigated presence and expression of 8 sRNAs in 83 S. aureus strains from 42 patients with sepsis or septic shock and 41 asymptomatic colonized carriers. Small p...
