CEing More—Assessing Small Bowel Crohn’s with Capsule Endoscopy (CE)

Small bowel involvement is very common in Crohn’s disease. Ileocolonoscopy, cross-sectional imaging modalities, and video capsule endoscopy are the tools currently used to investigate such involvement. Herein we report case of a 47-year-old man with history ileocolic disease persistent, unexplained iron deficiency anemia. Capsule endoscopy, by accurately identifying small intestinal mucosal lesions, can improve outcomes.
