چکیده

Abstract. Quantifying the effects of human activities on floods is challenging because limited knowledge and observations. Many previous methods fail to isolate different reduce uncertainty caused by small samples. We use panel regressions derive sensitivity annual maximum discharges (Q) changing values three factors: urban areas, cropland reservoir indexes for large medium dams. also test whether increase or decrease with increasing initial factors. This method applied in 757 non-nested catchments China. Results show that a 1 % point areas causes around 3.9 Q confidence interval CI = [1.9 %, 5.7 %]. Cropland have no significant effect Q. Reservoir index has decreasing effect: unit from 21.4 (with [11.4 29.9 %]) 6.2 [3.2 9.1 0 3. Among 61 increases observed 1992–2017, cause more than 10 only five (8.2 61) catchments. 234 at least one dam decreases 1960–2017, 138 (59.8 234) 1249 impacts indexes, 403 (32.3 %) during 46.7 are located middle downstream Yellow River Basin upper streams Hai He Basin. study extends regression hydrology sheds light attribution flood changes national scale.

Cultivated Land Changes and Agricultural Potential Productivity in Mainland China

With rapid and continuous population growth and the associated declining quality of cultivated land, food security in China has been attracting the attention of scholars both domestically and internationally. In recent decades, the implications of the cultivated land balance policy have promoted spatial changes of cultivated land. Estimating the agricultural potential productivity and assessing...

Impact of land use and land cover changes on ecosystem services in Menglun, Xishuangbanna, Southwest China.

Changing the landscape has serious environmental impacts affecting the ecosystem services, particularly in the tropics. In this paper, we report changes in ecosystem services in relation to land use and land cover over an 18-year period (1988--2006) in the Menglun Township, Xishuangbanna, Southwest China. We used Landsat TM/ETM and Quickbird data sets to estimate changes in ten land use and lan...

Analysis of Land Use and Land Cover Changes, and Their Ecological Implications in Wuhan, China

This study investigated land use changes, and their ecological effects in Wuhan (1987-2005). Remote Sensing techniques extracted land use data, whilst the spatial analyst software, Fragstats quantified ecological metrics at both landscape and class levels. The results showed increased urban and agricultural land uses (1987-2005); with urban land increasing more than 250 percent. This was largel...

Land use and land cover spatiotemporal dynamic pattern and predicting changes using integrated CA-Markov model

Analyzing the process of land use and cover changes during long periods of time and predicting the future changes is highly important and useful for the land use managers. In this study, the land use maps in the Ardabil plain in north-west part of Iran for four periods (1989, 1998, 2009 and 2013) are extracted and analyzed through remote sensing technique, using the land-sat satellite images. T...

Effects of Land Use and Land Cover changes on Soil Organic Carbon and Total Nitrogen Stocks in the Olesharo Catchment, Narok County, Kenya

Land Use and Land Cover Change (LULCC) is the most prominent cause of Soil Organic Carbon (SOC) variability in any landscape. Kenyan Arid and Semi-Arid Lands (ASALs) have been facing extensive land use/ cover changes in the last three decades prompting a review on the impacts it has on soil quality and consequently on land degradation. This study was carried out in 2016 in Olesharo Catchment, N...
