Cationic Covalent Triazine Network: A Metal-Free Catalyst for Effective Acetylene Hydrochlorination

چکیده

Vinyl chloride, the monomer of polyvinyl is produced primarily via acetylene hydrochlorination catalyzed by environmentally toxic carbon-supported HgCl2. Recently, nitrogen-doped carbon materials have been explored as metal-free catalysts to substitute Herein, we describe development a cationic covalent triazine network (cCTN, cCTN-700) that selectively catalyzes hydrochlorination. cCTN-700 exhibited excellent catalytic activity with initial conversion, reaching ~99% and vinyl chloride selectivity >98% at 200 °C during 45 h test. X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, temperature programmed desorption, charge calculation results revealed active sites for reaction were atoms bonded pyridinic N positively charged nitrogen (viologenic N+) viologen moieties in cCTN-700, similar Au-based but different from those previously reported materials. This research focuses on using polymers selective

Nitrogen-doped Carbon Derived from ZIF-8 as a High-performance Metal-free Catalyst for Acetylene Hydrochlorination

Acetylene hydrochlorination is a major industrial technology for manufacturing vinyl chloride monomer in regions with abundant coal resources; however, it is plagued by the use of mercury(II) chloride catalyst. The development of a nonmercury catalyst has been extensively explored. Herein, we report a N-doped carbon catalyst derived from ZIF-8 with both high activity and quite good stability. T...

Activated Carbon Supported Mo-Ti-N Binary Transition Metal Nitride as Catalyst for Acetylene Hydrochlorination

Recently, many scientists have focused on the development of green industrial technology. However, the process of synthesizing vinyl chloride faces the problem of Hg pollution. Via a novel approach, we used two elements Mo and Ti to prepare an inexpensive and green binary transition metal nitride (BTMN) as the active ingredient in a catalyst with nano-sized particles and an excellent degree of ...

Styrene Epoxidation in Aqueous over Triazine-Based Microporous Polymeric Network as a Metal-Free Catalyst

Tirazine based microporous polymeric (TMP) network was found to be an efficient metal-free catalyst for the epoxidation of styrene. The reactions were performed in water as an environmentally benign medium using H2O2 as a green oxidant at ambient temperature. The reaction afforded higher yield with 90% conversion of styrene and 98% selectivity to styrene oxide in 6 h. The triazine based micropo...

The Preparation of Cu-g-C3N4/AC Catalyst for Acetylene Hydrochlorination

A novel catalyst based on g-C3N4/activated carbon was prepared by adding CuCl2. The catalytic performance of the as-prepared catalyst was investigated in the acetylene hydrochlorination reaction. X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, temperature programmed desorption, low temperature N2 adsorption/desorption (Brunauer–Emmett–Teller), and thermal gravity analysis showed that Cu-g-C3N4/AC significant...

Base free transfer hydrogenation using a covalent triazine framework based catalyst

Transfer hydrogenation (TH) reaction – the addition of hydrogen to an unsaturated group of an organic molecule from a source other than H2 – has been gaining a lot of attention as it is an appealing alternative to direct hydrogenation. The reasoning behind it is the elimination of pressurised hydrogen and high pressure equipment use. Besides, a conventional hydrogenation catalyst is rarely sele...
