Catechol‐Functionalized Carbon Nanotubes as Support for Pd Nanoparticles: a Recyclable System for the Heck Reaction

چکیده

Abstract Carbon nanotubes have been covalently functionalized with catechol moieties through the formation of corresponding aryl radicals obtained by reacting 4‐aminocatechol isoamyl nitrite. The multiwalled carbon in turn used to immobilize Pd(II) ions on its surface forming catechol‐Pd complexes, which were reduced Pd nanoparticles (NPs). so‐obtained hybrid material has characterized means thermogravimetric analysis coupled differential scanning calorimetry (TGA‐DSC), X‐ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). This latter technique allowed estimate nanoparticle size (5.7±2.8 nm) whereas a palladium loading 20.3 wt % found inductively plasma optical emission (ICP‐OES). nanotube‐catechol‐Pd was as catalyst two C−C coupling reactions, namely Suzuki Heck resulting recyclable for at least 9 times process. During reuse increase their dimension 19.3±11.7 nm.

Controlled synthesis of uniform palladium nanoparticles on novel micro-porous carbon as a recyclable heterogeneous catalyst for the Heck reaction.

Novel dual-porous carbon-supported palladium nanoparticle (Pd NP) catalysts were prepared by sequential carbonization and reduction of microporous organic polymer-encaged PdCl2. The diverse pore structure of microporous organic polymers provides a reservoir for the palladium precursors and prevents Pd NPs from sintering during the carbonization and reaction. The microporous structure has a sign...

Palladium Loaded on Magnetic Nanoparticles as Efficient and Recyclable Catalyst for the Suzuki- Miyaura Reaction

Palladium is the best metal catalyst for Suzuki cross coupling reaction for synthesize of unsymmetrical biaryl compounds. But its high cost limits its application in wide scale. Using of nanoscale particles as active catalytic cites is a good approach for reducing needed noble metal. By loading precious nanoparticles on magnetic nanocores as a support, recycling and reusing of catalyst will be ...

Palladium nanoparticles supported onto ionic carbon nanotubes as robust recyclable catalysts in an ionic liquid.

Palladium nanoparticles have been deposited onto imidazolium bromide-functionalized ionic MWCNTs through hydrogen reduction of Na2PdCl4 in water without aid of surfactants under extremely mild conditions, and combined with an ionic liquid to create a new recyclable ionic liquid-based catalytic system allowing up to 50 times recycling.
