COVID 19 is a social event that is important because of the disruption of the natural order of society. To defeat the disease, social interaction is needed, so qualitative research is appropriate to find the challenges and experiences of soci...

Part of Thompson's overview focused on translational research (TR) as a cornerstone theme of the upcoming conference. As somewhat of a follow-up, the initial part of this current editorial provides, as a brief prelude to the " Highlighting " conference, an admittedly delimited discussion of TR. The editorial goes on to acknowledge certain sequels to the 2009 International Fascia Research Congre...

Myocardial ischemia (MI) resulting in infarction is an important cause of mortality and morbidity worldwide. Acute ischaemia rapidly impairs myocardial contractile function. Myocardial dysfunction persisting for several hours after transient non-lethal ischaemia, eventually resulting in full functional recovery is termed as myocardial stunning. Hibernation is now thought to be...

Capacity of adult neural and muscle tissues to respond to external Electrical Stimulation (ES) is the biological basis for the development and implementation of mobility impairment physiotherapy protocols and of related assistive technologies, e.g, Functional Electrical Stimulation (FES). All body tissues, however, respond to electrical stimulation and, indeed, the most successful application o...

Following the outbreak of Covid-19, many related studies were published rapidly around the world. In this study, we examined published or in-publication studies over the strategies to deal with Covid-19. To this end, 16 published scientific papers were investigated using content analysis and meta-analysis. As a result, 16 medical strategies and 3 macro-management strategies were extracted. Fina...
