چکیده
The results of selected volatile organic compounds (benzene, n-hexane, isopropanol, and formic acid) catalytic oxidation are presented on Fe2O3 cenospheres in the fluidised bed reactor. core–shell Fe2O3-cenosphere catalyst was developed by applying an Fe layer FB-MO-CVD (fluidised bed, metal–organic chemical vapor deposition) following oxidation. efficiency decomposition VOCs tested range 200 to 500 °C, using method based infrared spectroscopy (FTIR). research focused especially analysis incomplete combustion products, such as CO oxygen compounds. During isopropanol addition carbon monoxide, species acetone, formaldehyde, acetaldehyde were also detected. acid proceeded with only a slight emission unexpectedly benzene similar way, no other products In addition, concentration lower than case conversion n-hexane. For solution, complete is possible at temperatures below 400 almost CO2 isopropyl alcohol, benzene, n-hexane achieved °C. Additionally, possibility conducting autothermal process provided that heat recuperation used, presented.

Catalytic Oxidation of Volatile Organic Compounds and Malodorous Organic Compounds
This thesis describes efforts made on the development of an existing catalytic incinerator. The development work, called process characterization, consists of four general parts. These are the development of measurement methodology, the studying of construction materials, the selection of suitable catalysts and the testing of the effects of process operation conditions. The two application area...
متن کاملCatalytic non-thermal plasma reactor for total oxidation of volatile organic compounds
A dielectric barrier discharge reactor with inner electrode modified with metal oxides of Ti, Mn and Co has been designed and tested for the oxidation of diluted volatile organic compounds (VOCs) of different nature like toluene, isopropanol and trichloroethylene. It has been observed that at a fixed concentration of VOC, total oxidation of isopropanol is achieved at lower specific input energy...
متن کاملDestruction of Volatile Organic Compounds by Catalytic Oxidation
Volatile organic compounds, emitted by a lot of sources, particularly from gasoline engines of automobiles, are air pollutants that give rise to deleterious health and environmental effects. Total catalytic oxidation is an attractive method in controlling these emissions due the great amounts of energy saved, by the moderate temperature involved. For wide implementation of catalytic combustion,...

heteropoly acids (hpa) and their salts have advantages as catalysts which make them both economically and environmentally attractive, strong br?nsted acidity, exhibiting fast reversible multi-electron redox transformations under rather mild conditions, very high solubility in polar solvents, fairly high thermal stability in the solid states, and efficient oxidizing ability, so that they are imp...

"Destruction of volatile organic compounds by the optimal multivariable control of a catalytic reverse flow reactor", Summary This paper aims to compare 2 optimal control laws for a catalytic reverse flow reactor (RFR), which topic has not often been tackled. The RFR aims to destruct volatile organic compounds (VOCs), which are noxious products and are the source of a lot of problems: pollution...
